The setting
Restaurant overlooking Anglet lake and nature
The restaurant at Brindos, in Anglet, offers a breathtaking view of the lake and surrounding countryside. Just 10 minutes from Biarritz, in a peaceful, leafy setting, Chef Hugo De La Barrière offers refined cuisine combining Basque tradition, South-Western flavours and creativity. The menu changes with the seasons to make the most of local produce, complemented during the week by a three-course market menu served at lunchtime. As soon as the weather is fine, the terraces open out onto the pontoon and gardens of the Château, for an open-air lunch or a dinner along the water in a privileged atmosphere.
The Chef
Heading up the restaurant, Chef Hugo de la Barrière offers refined cuisine that is both rooted in its South West environment and open to other influences. Inspired by seasonal produce and local Basque producers, he creates precise, well-balanced dishes in which taste remains essential.
Having trained with some of the world's leading chefs, his main aim is to bring out the authentic flavours of the South West, using an approach that is both technical and instinctive.
Under his direction, the restaurant at Brindos has become a place of experience, where people come as much for the food as for the time spent together, in a calm, well-kept setting.
